Lovely readers!
Unfortunately, I broke this much loved cup last week. I dropped it because I tried to hold too much. Due to a crack running its entire length, my cup can no longer hold liquids, but it will forever hold my secrets. For, though life sometimes expects one to be stoic, a mug never does. Being quite fragile itself, it understands fragile feelings. A faithful friend till the end (after nearly two decades of service) this mug will be missed.
Breaking this cup recalled to mind a post I wrote concerning two other cups awhile back. It was one of my favorites, and a story that still haunts me occasionally. If you’ve not seen it, I’ll post it again here:
A Tale of Two Cups
Once upon a time, my husband and I found ourselves without any cups that could hold hot beverages. We had just moved, and the process had involved putting all but the barest of bare essentials into storage. We were supposed to survive for several months on the few short term provisions I packed. Except I forgot to pack cups.
I’d also like to let you know of an exciting new development. I am honored to share with you an opportunity given to me by
. She has asked and I to be contributors to her publication The Family We Keep. You can read about our new venture below, from the mastermind herself (and please do be sure to check out both Deb and Krissy!):And finally, a temporary farewell of my own; for I am still holding too much, and now I have one less cup to help me cope. In all seriousness, our summer is looking to be a bit uprooted and I do believe I will be shutting my Etsy shop down for a while. If you’ve had your eye on a piece of art, now is the time to grab it, I don’t know when I will open back up. I do have a few posts coming up for The Family We Keep that I’ll be sure to cross post here, but otherwise, I’ll be taking a summer break.
Life is about to hit at full speed, so wish me luck! And to you, my dear friends, I wish all the happiness life can bring you. Thank you for checking out my scribbles, it means the world to me. Until we meet again…

Here's to a wonderful summer and new adventures! Best to you as well on your new development Jenn!
Oh, I am a mug lover. My coffee always goes into special ones I brought home from somewhere or was gifted with. I know exactly what you mean when one breaks.
Having said that, I hope you you find ways of letting go of what you hold too much of.
I will miss you and wish you a restoring and nourishing summer break ❤️☀️❤️.
