Thanks so much! They are so pretty and intriguing, aren’t they? I love the bright colors and handpainted details. My dad gave this set to me when I was little, it’s my only one, and I love to include it in my art works for its bright color, details, and nostalgia. I’d love to hear about your favorite set…I feel like they tell stories.
In medias res makes SO much sense to describe life, the art process and yes, a goopy acrylic painting. I love the Hendricks gin with the books. There's a story there for sure. And your ink sketches too. I'm sending good vibes and prayers for the best possible outcome for whatever illness you're dealing with. Klimt will lighten any burdened soul. From a kindred artist also in the middle, Maureen xo
Thank you so very much, Maureen, you are too kind! Thank you for the prayers for our health! It’s mostly the kids but I think they’re coming around. I love that you totally get what I was trying to convey, thank you for the generous compliments about my art, too. ❤️
Love the drawings, especially the doll containers. (Ha, I don't know what they are called, and "doll containers" has some weird connotations, but I'll just leave it there.
Wow, thank you, that is really kind of you to say. Your words are a great encouragement to keep on with drawing and art making. I deeply appreciate it.
In Buddhism, my current obsession, there is a call to be on the middle path. The middle path is described as the avoidance of two extremes of practical life, namely, indulgence in sensual pleasures on the one hand and severe asceticism on the other. Here's to being stuck in the middle.
Oh I like that, stay on the middle path. It makes sense. I tell my kids “everything in moderation”. Taking that to an even broader view is wonderful. Cheers to the middle, and thank you.
I learn a lot about my own self from reading your work. I am not an artist so I cannot relate in that aspect but I am a seamstress. Often on projects I will make a mistake and in stead of correcting it just want to give up. I thought that was just me. It’s refreshing to know how other people handle their own creative situations. Jenn’s brilliant! ✨💖
Oh! I absolutely love the dolls! I have a collection here at home. Enchanting! 💫💞💫
Thank you, Charlotte! That’s very cool that you sew, what do you make? My mom sewed a lot of our clothes as kids and she taught me to sew. I still have and use the machine she gave me over 20 years ago. Picking out stitches is no fun and it is so tempting to just quit or try to make the mistake work!
Thank you for the kind words about my sketches, the dolls were a gift from my dad when I was little and I love them so much.
Epic indeed! I’m fascinated by the process of creation that everybody undertakes. Thank you so much for sharing. I love to see what the colours give birth to. Thanks for painting your heart out and inviting us in. 🙏❤️
Thank you so much for the kind compliment, Jamie, I am so thankful you enjoyed the creation description, I like knowing how people create, too. It’s always fascinating where the mind and the will take us.
Jenn, I had no idea when I went to read this just now that you had a blueberry sketch! My mom’s blueberries appeared on my iPad photo reminder yesterday and I shared just before I read this beautiful piece! This is such a lovely way to speak of our story and how it evolves. You are so talented. I hope your family has a restful weekend and you all feel better real soon 🙏🏻😘
No kidding! I’m going to go find your mom’s blueberries, that’s so funny. Thank you for reading and most especially thank you for the well wishes for good health! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
As a collector Matryoshka dolls, I really appreciate the first one.

Doll containers is awesome, I will think of them thusly from now on, haha. Thank you for the kind words and I hope you have a wonderful day!
You effortlessly convey form and ease in your drawings. I always thought that the feeling for form is a sign of inherent talent.
